About the organisation

The Open University of the University of Jyväskylä is an independent unit in University of Jyväskylä, Finland. We are proud to call ourselves the largest and most versatile open university in Finland, with 14 000 students annually. Our studies are open to all. We don´t have entrance requirements or tests. We promote educational equality and lifelong learning. We don´t offer degrees, but credits earned can contribute to University degree or upgrade your qualifications. We offer extensive variation of e-learning programmes, non-stop registration, pedagogy, which is specialized in the methodology of adult education and guidance methods developed especially for distance learning.

Role in the project

JYUOpen is a pilot leader of the work package 6. We take care of the overall management and coordination of the E-SLP pilot 5 titled “Digital Competent Educators” (15 ECTS). We also contribute to the other work packages of E-SLP project by delivering information and commenting draft reports.
