About the organisation

The International Telematic University UNINETTUNO, established with the decree of the 15 th April 2005 of the Minister of Education, University and Research, was born from NETTUNO – Network per l’Università Ovunque, a consortium of 43 Italian and 31 foreign universities and from the international-level success of the European Med Net’U (Mediterranean Network of Universities) Project. UNINETTUNO offers online degree programs in 5 languages to more than 23.000 students coming from 167 different countries of the world, through its own online learning environments, designed through more than 25 years of research activities, led by UNINETTUNO rector, prof. Maria Amata Garito, and her research team. UNINETTUNO is listed among the universities contributing to the achievement of UN Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals by UNESCO’s HESD – Higher Education for Sustainable Development, and it is the only Italian member of JoinTogether network, promoted by United Nations for developing academic collaborations for sustainable development.
